Hse My Gon (Hse Main Gon) = a place where those sinking in defilements are put onto the dry land of Nibbāna.
Dhamma + oja = dhammoja = Dhamma nectar, dhamma nutriment
Design for the Memorial Hall to be built in honor of our Peerless Benefactor Paṇḍitārāma Shwe Taung Gon Sayadaw Gyi
Location:
The site of Sayadaw-gyi’s cremation (antima aggijhāpana), east of the Dhamma Hall at Panditarama Hse Main Gon Forest Center.
Objective of Building a Memorial Hall:
From near and far, students came and drank the nectar of Dhamma in the Teacher’s presence, as he helped them to develop the three Trainings and make them flourish. Those who had this chance are building a Memorial Hall in order to show what their Teacher has done for them. By doing so, they hope to make the Dhamma powers of generations of Panditarama Dhamma Family progress, multiply and spread far and wide.
The Memorial Hall will include:
With a statue of Sayadaw-gyi at the center, a large room for people to gather and meditate
A room for showing a film about Sayadaw-gyi
An exhibit of things Sayadaw-gyi used
A library displaying Dhamma books
Plan for building the Memorial Hall:
Construction of the Memorial Hall was begun on 17 June 2017.
Effort is being made to complete the building and share the merits in time for the 2nd anniversary of Sayadaw-gyi’s passing away, 16 April 2018.
The total cost of constructing the Memorial Hall is estimated to be 5,000 lakhs.
A record of all donations will be made and distributed.
